Kish Kapoor, CPA, CA

President and CEO, RF Capital Group


Kish Kapoor was appointed Interim President and CEO of RF Capital Group (TSX: RCG) in August 2019, and in October 2020 RF Capital Group’s board of directors appointed him as President and Chief Executive Officer, removing his interim title. He serves on the Board of Directors of RF Capital Group, Richardson Financial Group Limited and Equitable Bank (TSX:EQB), where he also Chairs the Audit Committee. He also served on the Board of Directors of Manitoba Telecom Services Inc. (TSX:MBT) and Chaired its Audit Committee up until March 2017.

Until 2011 he was President of Wellington West Holdings Inc., a company providing full service brokerage, capital markets, asset management and financial planning services. From November 2003 to June 2005, Mr. Kapoor was Executive Vice-President Corporate Development of Loring Ward International Ltd., a public company formed to hold the U.S. operations of Assante Corporation, a company which provided family office, wealth and asset management services to, amongst others, ultra high net worth professional sports and entertainment clientele in the United States. As one of the founders of Assante Corporation, Mr. Kapoor was its Executive Vice President Corporate Development from March 1994 to November 2003.

Mr. Kapoor has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Manitoba and is a Chartered Professional Accountant and former tax partner with KPMG LLP.

 


Mike Ankers

SVP, Head of Advisor Experience & Growth

Our team’s sole focus is to ensure that the firm’s advisors have the tools and resources they need to create a rewarding, profitable practice and deliver an exceptional white glove client experience. My passion is cultivating a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture that welcomes regular and transparent communication and builds on our advisors’ successes.

Mike has been with Richardson Wealth (formerly Richardson GMP) since 2014 and brings 20+ years of financial services experience. His focus is providing advisors and clients with the best possible experience and an environment that offers growth opportunities and delivers proven results.

Mike has a B.Comm (Hons.) from University of Ottawa.

Mike’s goal is to be a BBQ pitmaster!

Natalie Bisset

Head of Corporate Development

My team is responsible for spearheading Richardson Wealth’s recruitment initiatives and pursuing strategic partnerships and future acquisitions of like-minded firms. As part of our firm’s ambitious growth strategy, we are developing a robust recruiting pipeline and continue to build on our considerable growth momentum as we welcome top advisors to the firm.

Natalie has over 15 years of industry experience spanning wealth management, private equity, business development and stakeholder relations. She has both a proven track record and a passion for helping entrepreneurial and dynamic organizations develop innovative business development and value-creation strategies to achieve robust growth.

In alignment with Richardson Wealth’s values, Natalie is deeply engaged in her community including mentoring young entrepreneurs, supporting various social impact organizations, and championing initiatives that enhance women’s wellness, education and diversity, equity, and inclusion. She also sits on the Executive Committee for the Ivey Alumni Network Board of Directors.

Natalie earned her MBA from Ivey School of Business as a member of the Dean’s Honour List and holds a Bachelor in Economics, Business with Distinction from the University of Victoria. She also holds several accreditations from the Canadian Securities Institute with Honours.

Originally from the west coast, Natalie lives in Toronto with her husband and three energetic kids who fill her free time with sports, creative cooking and many laughs.
 


Lynne Brejak

SVP, Chief People Officer

At Richardson Wealth, we believe that having high-performing and engaged employees whose values are aligned with our principles, significantly contributes to a great client experience. My team’s job is to create a work environment where all employees can experience success and progress their career goals.

Lynne has been with Richardson Wealth (formerly Richardson GMP) since 2015 and brings over 30 years of human resources experience in national and global organizations in both the public and private sectors. Lynne’s focus at Richardson Wealth is on organization-wide change and leadership development.

Lynne has a BAA from Ryerson University and received the CHRP designation in 1987. She has graduated from numerous development opportunities in change management and leadership development and has completed the qualifications for “Partners and Directors and Senior Officers (PDO)”. She received the 2016 Women of Influence recognition award through Wealth Professionals, and is Board Chair of Horizons for Youth, an emergency shelter for youth ages 16-24.

When she’s not working, Lynne enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters and new puppy at the cottage.

James Price

SVP, Investment Strategy

We help advisors and clients navigate a crowded universe of investment products. The Private Client Capital Markets team sources and vets companies and other issuers of securities who are seeking capital, and structures attractive investment opportunities for clients looking to achieve portfolio goals with unique and bespoke investments.

James has been with Richardson Wealth since 2013. With extensive experience in the bond world, he is well positioned to contribute to the macro strategy of the investment management team. James helps direct the overall asset allocation strategy of Richardson Wealth and writes market commentaries and client communications to keep our investors well informed. As a portfolio manager, James is also lead manager of the Connected Wealth bond strategies and oversees the review of new investment products for use by Richardson Wealth clients.

Jamie has an Honours BA in Economics and Geography and is a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder.

When he is not a janitor and chauffeur to two active little ones, James enjoys photography and the outdoors.
 


Scott Stennett

COO & Director, Operations & Information Technology

My team partners with our internal business units to build and maintain a progressive advisor and client-centric technology platform that places both usability and security of their information at the forefront. We believe clients should be able to interact with Richardson Wealth on their terms – when and how they want – so we are committed to investing in our digital platform to provide multiple channels to access information and interact with advisors.

Scott has been with Richardson Wealth (formerly Richardson GMP and prior Richardson Partners Financial Limited) since 2003 and brings more than 25 years of experience in leading operations, and technology solutions and integration to his role.

Scott has a BA (Finance & Economics) from Western University and an Honours Business Administration (Finance) degree from University of Windsor. Scott is on the Board of Directors of the Ombudsman for Banking Services and Investments (OBSI), a member of the Investment Industry Association of Canada (IIAC) Private Client Committee and an active participant in several volunteer engagements including the Toronto Daily Food Bank, Canadian Cancer Society and Children’s Aid Society.

Scott is an amateur golfer and loves experiencing new foods and travelling with his family.
 


Sarah Widmeyer

SVP, Wealth Strategies

Through our tax, estate and financial planning specialist team, we help our clients grow and protect their assets in diverse and tax-efficient ways. We help protect their families from the unforeseen, provide support as they care for their elders and guide them in preparing the next generation to responsibly inherit wealth.

Sarah has been with Richardson Wealth (formerly Richardson GMP) since early 2018. She has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services sector with a focus on private wealth management and advisory services.

At Richardson Wealth, Sarah oversees Wealth Strategies, leading numerous teams: Tax & Estate Planning, Insurance, Private Family Office including Family Office Wealth Counsel, Investment Management, National Partnership Office, Fee Based and Managed Account Products as well Marketing and Communications. She also hosts the firm’s podcast “Conversations on Wealth”.

Sarah has an BA English and History (Hons.) from University of Toronto as well as a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) designation through Wharton School of Business and the Investment Management Consultant’s Association. Sarah also serves on the Board of Directors of the Women’s Brain Health Initiative – a charitable organization focused on funding research and creating education programs to combat brain-aging diseases that primarily affect women.

Sarah is a classically trained pianist and a master baker in training.
 


Michael Williams, LL.B, MBA, CIM®

Chief Risk Officer, Richardson Wealth, RF Clearing LP and RF Capital Inc

The Risk, Compliance, Credit and Business Solution teams support Richardson Wealth’s overall business strategy to ensure we identify and manage our risks effectively, meet our compliance obligations, stay ahead of industry and regulatory changes, and provide legal expertise to support our advisors and firm as we continue to do great things for our clients.

Michael has been with Richardson Wealth since 2017 and has 25+ years of business management, operations, legal, risk and compliance experience in the government and financial services sector.

Michael has a BA (Hons.) from Western University, LL.B from University of Windsor and an MBA from Dalhousie University. Michael is currently on the Board of Directors for both Michael Garron Hospital and Sistema Toronto, is a Member of the Compliance and Legal Section Executive at IIROC and is a Founder of the Black Opportunity Fund. Michael has also held positions as Grad Ball Chair for Pathways to Education, Chair & Board Member for Toronto City Mission and was a former division head coach for the Leaside Tigers Soccer Club.

Michael enjoys creative writing and music, and has been performing as a singer, guitarist and songwriter since the early 1980s.

Tim Wilson

CFO, RF Capital Group

My team ensures that our company has a strong financial foundation and sufficient capital to achieve our growth objectives. We focus on finding opportunities for the company to create shareholder value and help our investment advisors improve the profitability of their businesses. A critical part of our role is providing transparency to investors and ensuring that they understand our compelling growth story.

Tim joined Richardson Wealth in April 2021. He brings two decades of experience in the financial services industry, previously serving as CFO of Equitable Bank, President of Visa Canada and in an executive finance role at a big-6 bank.

Tim received his CPA designation in 1997. He also holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and an Honours B. Comm from Queen's University. He serves on the board of First Mortgage LP and as a special advisor to Doubleclick Lending, a mortgage industry start-up.

Tim lives in Toronto with his wife and three teenage sons. He enjoys running, golf, skiing, global travel and craft beer.
 








 

 


Krista Coburn

General Counsel & Corporate Secretary

Our experienced legal team supports the entire organization as we execute our strategic and business plans. We strive to be trusted business partners, providing valued legal advice to effectively manage and protect the interests of the firm.

Krista has been with the company for more than 10 years, providing legal advice and counsel across the business including the Board of Directors of the firm’s parent company, RF Capital Group, and leading the Richardson Wealth legal team. Prior to joining RF Capital, Krista was an associate with a leading Toronto-based law firm, where her practice focused on corporate and securities law, mergers & acquisitions and regulation of Canadian financial services market participants.

Krista earned her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Ontario and BA Psychology (Hons.) from Wilfrid Laurier University.

Krista loves spending time both outdoors with her family, hiking and skiing, and indoors baking and reading.
